(ST.MARYS, ON) On Wednesday morning June 08, 2011 a Perth County OPP officer observed orange spray painted profanities on windows and a door of a residence on Park St. in St.Marys.
After extensive investigation by the officers including the St.Marys High School resource officer a male responsible for the mischief was located and arrested at St.Marys District Collegiate and Vocational Institute. Investigation also revealed that the male had thrown a rock through a window of the same residence. The male an 18 year old St.Marys resident has been charged with two counts of mischief. He will be attending criminal court in Stratford on July 11, 2011 to answer the charges.
While police were conducting the initial investigation a number neighbours and other St.Marys residents assisted in the cleanup of the mischief. The elderly victim was thankful for the assistance by other concerned residents and the outcome of this investigation.
