Vanessa McMillan – Tractor Drunk Driving

(Central Huron, ON) – On June 12th at approximately 3:30 am, Huron OPP officers stopped a farm tractor travelling on Summerhill Road. While speaking to the driver, the officer detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver’s breath. The officer read a demand for the driver to provide a roadside sample of their breath and the driver complied but failed the test.

The driver was arrested and taken to the Huron OPP Detachment where two more breath samples were taken. The results of those tests confirmed that the tractor driver had a blood alcohol level in excess of the legal limit of 80 milligrams.

As a result of the traffic stop, Vanessa MCMILLAN (25) of Barrie has been charged with one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She will answer to her charge in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on August 29, 2011. Her licence was suspended for 90 days as per statute.
