(BRUCE TWP, ON) – On June 16th, 2011 at 9:58 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call to attend a crash on the Bruce-Saugeen Town line in Bruce Township. Officers attended the scene with Bruce County Ambulance and the Municipality of Kincardine Fire Department.
A Buck Century was travelling along the Bruce-Saugeen Town line when it struck a seed drill being towed by a tractor. The car left the roadway and ended up in Mill Creek. The driver, 54 year old Timothy DESCHAMPS of Paisley, was pronounced dead at the Memorial Hospital in Southampton.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit is assisting with the investigation into the crash.
The Bruce-Saugeen Townline was closed for several hours for the safety of emergency personnel, but has since re opened to traffic.
