(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Saturday June 18, 2011 shortly after 1 p.m. an OPP officer on patrol in Mitchell observed a car on Huron Road at St. George St. being operated by a female whom the officer had charged for a Liquor License Act offence at approximately 8 a.m. that morning. At that time the female had been walking around with open alcohol.
The officer pulled over the vehicle and spoke to the driver who was given a roadside breath test. After failing the breath test she was transported to the Perth County Detachment in Sebringville where she also failed the Intoxilyzer breath tests.
Allison Deigel (26) of the Municipality of West Perth was charged with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. She was also found to be unlicensed and was charged for this offence. She is to appear in Stratford Provincial Court on July 18, 2011 to answer to these charges. The vehicle she was operating has been impounded for seven days.
