(BRANT TWP, ON) – On June 30, 2014 at 5:45 am, a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol along Concession 10 in Brant Township when an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) pulling a trailer was observed. The officer signaled the driver to stop, but the driver ignored the cruiser emergency lighting and turned onto side road 30.
The trailer was abandoned at the edge of a farmer’s field as the occupants sped off on the ATV.
The South Bruce OPP recovered a Snowbear utility trailer; a quantity of food including pails of ice cream, frozen hamburgers and bags of potatoes; copper wire and a number of other items.
Suspicious vehicles and suspicious people need to be reported to police.
