Barrie Police officers were detailed to a residence on Mary St in regards to a male passed out in the back parking lot. The officers arrived on scene and observed a heavily intoxicated male lying on the ground surrounded by several beer cans. The male exhibited extreme symptoms of intoxication to the point where he needed assistance to stand up. The 60 yr old Barrie male was arrested for his own safety and lodged in the cells until sober. He was eventually released with a ticket for being intoxicated .
