(BRANT TWP, ON) – On July 6, 2014 at 10:45 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 2 vehicle crash at the intersection of Bruce County Road 3 and Cargill Road in Brant Township. Officers arrived to find a Black Nissan Rogue and a Beige GMC Sierra 2500 pulling a Prowler 5th wheel trailer involved in the crash.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification. Another was air lifted to hospital for treatment of serious injuries and two others were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit and the Coroner’s Office are assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.
Bruce County Road 3 is closed between Concession 6, Brant Township and Concession 10, Brant Township for the protection of emergency responders. Motorists are asked to respect the closure and avoid the incident area.
The investigation is in its early stages.
