Another Teen Returned Home By Police

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On July 28th, 2011 at 12:21 am, a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Durham Market Square North in Kincardine spoke with 2 youth under the age of 16. The youth were returned home and the parent was spoken with. The South Bruce OPP is reminding parents and care givers of the curfew provision under the Ontario Child and Family Services Act. “Any youth under the age of 16 years that is found, unescorted, between 12:00 am and 6:00 am will be returned home by police”. The Act further provides a fine of up to $1,000 for a parent that permits a child under 16 years to loiter in a public place between 12:00 am and 6:00 am.
