On July 8, 2014 a 22 year old Cambridge resident was arrested by OPP Huron County in regards to a break and enter that Waterloo Regional Police are investigating. Between July 4, 2014 to July 7, 2014 a break-in occurred into a shed located at Woodside National Historic site located at 528 Wellington Street, Kitchener. A Parks Canada truck was stolen along with a large amount of property. Within the property were a number of deactivated long guns used for training purposes and in historical re-enactments. The deactivated firearms have no ability to fire any projectile. The accused is facing charges in relation to Break and Enter Commit, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property, and Mischief under $5000. Police have recovered the stolen truck and some of the property. The guns are still outstanding.
