(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating a break, enter and theft of property from a backyard garden shed located on Alexander Street in Brussels.
Sometime between the hours of 10:00 p.m. on July 13th and 8:00 a.m. on July 14, 2014 those responsible entered the unlocked garden shed and stole the following items:
A red, women’s bicycle.
A red, Mastercraft 21†cut, lawnmower
A “holey board†game made out of plywood with green outdoor carpet
The stolen items are estimated to be worth approximately $800.
This crime of opportunity may have been prevented had the garden shed been securely locked. Please do your part to prevent crime by locking your residence, shed, garage, barn, utility building, and vehicle. Thieves will take the opportunity if you give it to them.
