Barrie Police were investigating a road rage incident on Essa Rd yesterday afternoon. The female complaintant was operating her convertible when a male in a truck became aggressive and attempted to pin her to other traffic. The male exited his vehicle and approached the female. The male attempted to backhand the female but she quickly moved to avoid injury. The female eventually evaded the male and contacted the police. On the above date and time officers observed the suspect vehicle leaving a motel on Essa Rd. The 40 yr old male was arrested for assault and dangerous driving. The male was released with a future court date.
