Shane Errington-Bruns – Collision, Drunk Driving, 90 Day Suspension

(ASHFIELD- COLBORNE- WAWANOSH, ON) – At approximately 10:00 p.m. on August 4, 2011, a Huron OPP officer was dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Dungannon Road, just east of Hwy 21. The driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the North ditch, two passengers were in the vehicle as well. Upon speaking to the driver, who had suffered minor injuries, the officer observed the male driver to be under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Goderich hospital to be treated for his injuries. He then met with a qualified Intoxilizer Technician in order to provide two samples of his breath.

The results of the two tests confirmed that the driver had a blood alcohol level that was above the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Shane ERRINGTON-BRUNS (21) of Goderich has been charged with one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He will answer to his charge in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on September 12, 2011. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days as per statute.
