On Tuesday afternoon the police attended a Bayfield St. department store in regards to a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers discovered that a 41 year old Barrie female had been apprehended by store security for stealing approximately $300.00 worth of toys and clothing. During the initial investigation it came to light that the female was breaching a conditional sentence order that stipulated she remain in her residence. In addition this female was also before the courts on a number of similar charges. As a result of this information the accused was brought to the Barrie Police Station where she was processed on theft charges and held pending a bail hearing.
