The Chatham-Kent police have arrested the last man in connection with a break and enter.
As previously reported, on Saturday, July 19, police responded to a break and enter at a residence on Patteson Avenue. Unknown suspect(s) forced their way into the residence causing about $250. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole various items, including a 27†Sony flat screen TV, several power tools and an orange mountain bike. Total value of the theft was approximately $9000.
Through investigation, police determined that three men were responsible for the break and enter.
On Sunday, police arrested and charged a 29-year Chatham man. Yesterday morning, police arrested and charged a 36-year-old man of no fixed address.
This morning around 2:30 a.m. an officer on general patrol observed the third man wanted for this break and enter riding his bike on Park Street.
The 31-year-old Chatham man has been charged with:
– Break and enter
– Theft Over $5000
– Possession of Property Obtained by a Crime Over $5000
– Mischief Under $5000 x2
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
