(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A 22 year old female driver was recently charged with racing following a traffic stop on Main Street in Dashwood. Shortly after 6:30 p.m. on July 17, 2014 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spotted a Honda CRV travelling eastbound on Main Street at a high rate of speed. The officer used a RADAR device and confirmed the speed of the approaching motor vehicle at 107 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone.
The driver was stopped and Michelle OLCESE, 22, from Mississauga was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. Her licence has been suspended for seven days and her vehicle has been impounded for seven days. She has a court appearance scheduled for August 19, 2014 at Provincial Offences Court – Goderich.
