(HOWICK, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating a recent theft of property from an abandoned farm located on Lawrie Street. Sometime between 4:00 p.m. on July 18, 2014 and 8:00 a.m. on July 19, 2014 those responsible attended the vacant property and stole over $1,000 in property. In addition, they also damaged an excavator when they tried unsuccessfully to steal the copper radiator from the machine.
The thieves stole an antique hand powered cultivator valued at $250 and four brand new black 12 volt Caterpillar batteries valued at $200 each.
Those responsible used an ATV to transport the stolen goods.
