(SOUTH HURON, ON) On August 13, 2011, at approximately 1:00 a.m. Huron O.P.P. officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle and possible break and enter in progress. Several officers attended an abandoned building on Quebec Ave in Centralia (known as Bruce Hall). The officers entered the building and located two males inside with flashlights and tools. The males had been busy cutting out copper pipe, plumbing and electrical wiring.
While officers were on scene they were advised that a second building had been entered on Alberta Street in Centralia (known as Middlesex Hall). This building was abandoned as well and plumbing and electrical wiring had been removed. Investigation revealed that the two male parties were responsible for both break and enters.
Stephen REIDY (25) of London has been charged with two counts of Break and Enter, two counts of Breach of Probation and one count of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
Joseph MCNAUGHTON (29) of London has been charged with 2 counts of Break and Enter. Both men were held in custody to answer to the charges. LP11227464/ RM11090214
