Barrie police were called to a downtown LCBO store for a report of a theft in progress.
Loss Prevention Security observed two males attempt to steal a bottle of vodka and run out of the store without paying.
Security attempted to arrest one male who began fighting when a female came into the store and began to assault the security officer.
The pair were able to break free from Security and flee the store, later meeting up with the other involved male.
With the assistance of video recording and witnesses, Police were able to identify the culprits and soon located the trio in a nearby park.
All three 19 year olds were arrested and charged with various offenses, which include: theft x2, possession of stolen property, assault to resist arrest, assault, uttering threats x2, breach of probation x3.
All property was recovered and no injuries were sustained by Loss Prevention.
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in this incident.
