Throughout the week of July 23-27 police received a dozen reports of thefts from motor vehicles that were parked overnight in residential neighborhoods in the New Hamburg and Baden area. Specific areas of impact were Hostetler Rd, Webster St, Theodore Schuler Blvd, Charlotta St, and Snyders Rd. Contents taken from the unlocked vehicles included sunglasses, GPS units, change left in or around the center console, and credit cards/gas cards. Residents are asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police at 519-653-7700 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 if their vehicles have been entered or if they have any suspect information. A reminder to be diligent in locking your motor vehicles and removing valuables from plain sight.
