The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for impaired driving early this morning in Chatham.
Around 2:30 a.m. police received information about a possible impaired driver on King Street. Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Gregory Drive East. Through investigation, the officer believed that the driver was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. The driver was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
The 35-year-old Camden Township man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He will be released from custody pending a future court date when sober.
