A small group of girls were walking along Dunlop Street when a 17 year old Toronto youth approached one of them and grabbed her breast. Another group of girls intervened and the suspect’s associate, a 19 year old Barrie man, punched another woman in the head. Barrie Police were called and located the suspects a short distance away. The 17 year old was arrested for Sexual Assault and Resisting Arrest after a brief struggle. The 19 year old fled and officers caught him after a short foot chase. This suspect kicked two officers. He was charged with Assault and Assaulting a Peace Officer. Both accused were released to a future court date once they were sober. The victim of the punch required medical attention for a laceration to her head.
