(ARRAN TWP, ON) – On August 1, 2014 at 4:36 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle crash involving a pedestrian and a pick-up truck. Officers arrived to find a 60 year old Arran-Elderslie Township woman and a Black Chevrolet Silverado pick-up were involved in the crash.
The pedestrian, 60 year old Elaine WEBB of Arran-Elderslie, was taken to hospital by Grey County paramedics, and then transferred to a London hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver, 60 year old Allan MCDOUGALD of Arran-Elderslie, was charged with Start from stopped position – not in safety.
