In the early afternoon hours of Monday August 18 Police were called to attend a downtown residence in regards to a domestic dispute. Police attended and investigation revealed that a male party had gone to his girlfriend’s residence however she would not allow him inside. As a result the male became irate and tried to break down the door to gain entry to the residence. The male did not gain entry, however the door to the residence was damaged during the incident.
As a result a 33 year old Barrie man is facing charges of Attempt Break and Enter as well as Mischief Under $5,000. The male was transported to the Barrie Police Station and held for a bail hearing.
