Licence Taken At RIDE

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On August 26th, 2011 at 8:00 pm, members of the South Bruce OPP set up a RIDE check on Saratoga Road in Kincardine. At 8:50 pm, a vehicle stopped at the RIDE and officers determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol. The driver was given a 3 day licence suspension for registering a warn on the roadside test. The South Bruce OPP is reminding motorists to arrange for a ride home if they are going to be drinking alcohol. Driving after drinking creates an unacceptable threat to public safety on the roads. The South Bruce OPP has a zero tolerance for impaired drivers.
