On August 21, 2014, at approximately 12:20 pm, emergency services responded to a fire at 539 Parkside Drive in the city of Waterloo. Tenants in this apartment complex were evacuated and the street was closed. Waterloo Fire Department and Waterloo Regional Police responded as well as Emergency Medical Services as a precautionary measure. The fire was extinguished without incident and no injuries were sustained. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time; however is is not believed to be suspicious. Waterloo Fire Rescue continues to investigate.
