Police, while on proactive patrol, observed an E bike in the early hours of Sunday morning in the downtown core. The E bike had two parties on board, no lights and swerving all over the road. Police stopped the vehicle and both parties were investigated. The driver was arrested and charged with impaired operation as well as other criminal code and highway traffic act infractions. The passenger also ran afoul of the law and faces insurance act and liquor licence act charges.
