Joshua Beuermann – Drunk Driving, Flight From Police, Disobey Stop Sign

(HURON EAST, ON) – At approximately 12:00 a.m. on September 2, 2011, a Huron OPP officer conducting regular patrols observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign in Brussels. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop resulting in a short pursuit to stop the vehicle. The vehicle eventually stopped for the officer on McDonald Drive and upon speaking to the driver the officer observed him to be under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Goderich detachment to meet with a qualified Intoxilizer Technician in order to provide two samples of his breath.

The results of the two tests confirmed that the driver had a blood alcohol level that was above the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Joshua BEUERMANN (31) of Brussels has been charged with one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol, one count of Flight from Police and one count of Disobey Stop Sign. He will answer to his charge in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on November 7, 2011. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days as per statute. LP11248460
