CDSA search warrant – arrest made, drugs seized

As a result of a drug investigation that began in June 2014, the Guelph Police Service Drug unit made an arrest in the driveway of a residence in the west end of Guelph shortly after 8 p.m. on September 4, 2014. The male was found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine at the time of his arrest. A subsequent CDSA Search Warrant was executed at the residence where the male was arrested and it resulted in the discovery of a large quantity of marihuana with a value of approximately $1,000. Further evidence of trafficking and cash was also located and seized.

Thomas Romankevitch, 23 years of Guelph has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He will appear in court on October 21, 2014.
