(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Monday September 12, 2011 around 8:45 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer observed a vehicle along Road 147 south east of Listowel. The driver of the car was spoken to and it was discovered that he displayed signs of impairment. The driver was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where two Intoxilyzer breath tests confirmed blood alcohol levels above the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol.
Allan Powell (62) of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. An additional charge of driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available” has also been laid. He is scheduled to appear in Listowel Court on October 12
