(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – A male driver has been arrested and charged following a traffic stop on Main Street in the Municipality of Lucan Biddulph, Ontario.
At approximately 5:17 p.m. on September 7, 2014, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Main Street, near Frank Street, and discovered the driver had been drinking alcohol.
The driver was arrested and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing that revealed he had consumed more than three times the legal limit of alcohol.
William BIEBER, age 45, from the Municipality of Lucan Biddulph, Ontario, was charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle, and care and control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was further charged under the Highway Traffic Act with drive motor vehicle – no licence, and under the Liquor Licence Act with driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.
The accused was released by way of a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to answer to the charges in a London court on October 14, 2014.
