On Saturday September 13, 2014 at 11 am the Barrie Police Service attended a Goodwin Drive residence in regards to a domestic dispute.
Officers learned that couple became involved in a heated argument at which time the male struck the female in the face and back of the head a number of times.
The male suspect fled the residence prior to the police arriving.
On Sunday September 14, 2014 the suspect attended a friends address in search of his wife, the police were contacted attended and placed the male under arrest.
The 40 year male was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
