Collision investigation

On September 12, 2014 at 12:38 p.m. the Guelph Police Traffic Division went to a personal injury, two vehicle collision at the intersection of Stevenson Street and Grange Street. It is alleged that a Guelph woman driving a Chevrolet northbound on Stevenson, disobeyed the red traffic signal at Grange and struck a Hyundai that was being driven by another Guelph female westbound on Grange. Both female drivers were transported to Guelph General Hospital by Guelph Wellington EMS for neck injuries. The vehicles were demolished and the airbags in both vehicles were deployed from the impact. There is an estimated damage value in excess of $28,000. The female driver of the Chevrolet was charged with disobeying the red traffic signal.
