The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman for impaired driving in Thamesville this morning.
Around 4:30 a.m. officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Longwoods Road between Victoria Road and Priscilla Street. The woman was travelling westbound when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a guardrail. She was not injured.
Through investigation, the officer believed that the woman was driving her car while under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested. The woman was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
A 28-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. The woman remains in police custody this morning, however will be released when sober with conditions pending a future court date.
