(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Investigators from the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment, OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team (TTCI), Forensic Identification Support Services (F.I.S.S) and West Region Criminal Operations need the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect vehicle that struck and seriously injured a male pedestrian last night.
On September 22, 2014 at approximately 8:30 p.m. officers responded to the collision scene located just east of Bluevale on Amberley Road. Upon arrival emergency responders located an unresponsive male lying on the roadway. The male pedestrian was transferred by air ambulance to hospital in London where he currently remains with critical life threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the male victim was walking westbound on Amberley Road when he was struck and injured by a motor vehicle that was also travelling westbound.
Police located at the scene a damaged passenger side mirror from what is believed to be a heavy duty pickup or utility truck.
Investigators are specifically requesting personnel employed in the auto body repair industry to call police immediately if they have had a request or have made repairs to a full size pickup or utility truck missing a passenger side mirror assembly.

Huron County OPP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle and driver involved in this collision.
