Hit and Run Update: Male Pedestrian Dies in Hospital

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – On September 22, 2014 at approximately 8:30 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron County EMS and Brussels Fire Department responded to a fail to remain vehicle and pedestrian collision located just east of Bluevale on Amberley Road. Upon arrival emergency responders located an unresponsive male lying on the roadway. He was transferred to hospital in London by air ambulance with life threatening injuries. Yesterday afternoon he succumbed to those injuries and died in hospital.

The deceased has been identified as 27 year old Jordan MOOREHEAD from Kitchener. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place today in London.

This investigation is active and ongoing. Police would like to speak with anyone that may have any information on this collision or the events that led up to it.

“We continue to investigate this collision and are asking the driver responsible to do the right thing and turn themselves into police. We’re resolved to finding the person responsible for not stopping to render assistance and leaving the scene.” – Huron County Staff Sergeant Jason Younan
