On September 22, 2014, police received information that unknown suspect(s) had entered two churches, New Beginnings Church on Wellington Street West and St. Agnes Church on Croydon Street. Once inside, the suspect(s) caused damage and stole offerings from the weekend masses.
Through investigation, police identified the man responsible for both incidents. Last night, police located the man and he was arrested. The 18-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with two counts each of break and enter and mischief under $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
