Police Assistance

Date: Saturday, October 4, 2014 – 7:15pm
On the 4th of October 2014, at approximately 7am, police received a call to attend a downtown residence regarding a male with a knife within the residence. Information was received that the male was in possession of a knife and that there was blood all over the apartment.

Police immediately responded to the residence and discovered that there were a group of people on scene all to believed to have been consuming alcohol. Once officers were able to speak with witnesses and locate the male with the knife it was discovered that the incident was accidental.

The intoxicated male was in his residence and was not in possession of a bottle opener. It was at this time the male grabbed a knife in attempt to pop the lid with it. In doing so the male broke the top off the bottle head which caused a serious laceration on his arm. The male began to request help while bleeding profusely and carrying the knife.

Police and paramedics responded to the scene. Once the story was ascertained, the male received medical attention from the paramedics and police cleared the scene.
