(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – A 27 year old is facing an Over 80 charge after he was stopped on October 11, 2014. At approximately 2:20 a.m. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup truck at the intersection of McCall Line and Walton Road. Upon speaking with the driver it was noticed the driver had been drinking alcohol.
A roadside screening test was completed and the driver registered a fail. He was arrested for failing the roadside test and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both samples registered over the legal limit.
As a result, 27 year old Nathan KERR from Central Huron been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham on November 20, 2014. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
