(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Saturday afternoon October 08, 2011 officers conducted seat belt checks on Wallace Avenue North at Binning Street in Listowel. Of the 200 motor vehicles checked, five drivers were found to be not wearing their seatbelt and were charged accordingly. These drivers were fined $235 and in addition they accumulated two demerit points.
The Perth County OPP would like to remind the public that their Fall Seatbelt Campaign runs until October 16 (inclusive).
