(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Friday October 07, 2011 around 9 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer on patrol observed a north bound pickup truck on Perth Road 119 at Perth Line 55 which had a burned out headlight. The officer pulled over the vehicle and while speaking to the driver detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. A roadside breath test was administered which the driver failed. The driver also failed two subsequent Intoxilyzer breath tests at the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville.
Michael Chambers (23) of Stratford has been charged with operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on November 21, 2011 to answer to this charge. He was also issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
