Investigators from both the Traffic Unit, and the Criminal Investigation Division acting on information from the public were able to identify the location of the suspect vehicle involved in the collision. As a result the driver of the suspect vehicle was identified and placed under arrest for Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident. . The arrested male was transported to the Barrie Police Headquarters and was released with a future court date.
The victim, who sustained serious injuries to his legs, is recovering in hospital.
