Yesterday afternoon, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section and Community Branch arrested a man and woman on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham as part of an ongoing drug investigation into the theft of prescription medications from a local pharmacy and the subsequent street sale of those medications.
Approximately $11,000 worth of fentanyl and $500 worth of lorazepam were recovered and seized for analysis.
A 23-year-old Chatham man and 21-year-old Chatham woman were charged with several drug related offences. The woman also faces additional theft charges.
They were both released with conditions pending a future court date of November 27, 2014.
