Arrest

At approximately 4:25pm, the police were called to attend the area of Big Bay Point Rd. and Leggott Av. Numerous calls were received that two drunk adult females were attempting to load three children into a vehicle. Bystanders blocked the females from putting the children into the vehicle and also ensured that neither of the two adults got into the vehicle. Upon arrival it was determined that both the mother and grandmother were in fact intoxicated. The 29 year old mother of the children was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. Arrangements were made to have the children picked up by a sober relative. The arrested female was taken to the station to sober up. The Children’s Aid Society was notified of the incident.
