Matthew NOWAK – Robbery With Weapon, Break and Enter, etc. etc.

(PAISLEY, ON) – On November 5, 2014 at 3:08 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a robbery at a home in the 400 block of Goldie Street in Paisley. Officers arrived to find that a lone male had entered the home and brandished a knife during the robbery.

The accused, 20 year old Matthew NOWAK of Arran-Eldeslie Township has been charged with 2 counts of break and enter, robbery with a weapon, possess dangerous weapon, disguise with intent, 2 counts of breach recognizance and breach probation. He has been held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for November 6, 2014 at 2 pm.

Officers learned that the accused was wearing a mask at the time of the robbery.

This is an isolated incident. There is no threat to public safety.
