(HURON EAST, ON) – A male driver from Sarnia is facing a one week driver’s licence suspension and a vehicle impoundment following a traffic stop on October 30, 2014. Just after 12:00 p.m. an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling on London Road north of Hensall when he encountered a speeding Toyota four door sedan. The officer confirmed his observations with a RADAR device and measured the speed of the vehicle at a speed of 141 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
A traffic stop was completed and the driver was charged. Vipul ACHARYA, 47, from Sarnia has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. His driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days. He has a court appearance scheduled for December 16, 2014 at Provincial Offences Court – Goderich.
