Man Struck With Bat – Arrest Made

On November 9, 2014 at 1:32 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Carden Street for the report of an assault. The investigation alleges that two males who were known to each other were involved in a dispute when one threatened and then struck the other with a baseball bat. He then left the scene but was located and arrested a short distance away by police. The victim was taken to Guelph Hospital but the extent of his injury was not reported at the time of this release.

An 18-year-old Guelph male has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault cause bodily harm, utter threats and three counts breach recognizance. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on November 10, 2014.
