Breach of Recognizance

On July 21, 2014 the accused, Ken Bondy 27 years of age of 204 Queen Street Chatham, was charged with possession of a schedule II substance Sec. 4(1) CDSA, and three counts of failing to comply with release conditions. The accused was held for a bail hearing and was subsequently released on a recognizance with a condition to reside at 12 Stanley Ave. in Chatham and to notify the officer in charge at Chatham-Kent Police Service at 24 Third St. Chatham of any in address change in writing within 14 hours of change.

On Saturday November 8, 2014 the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a complaint that the accused was failing to comply with his address condition. The Chatham-Kent Police investigated the allegation and determined that Ken Bondy had not been living there for over 14 days. He was subsequently arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was held for another bail hearing.
