Irvin Johnson – Drunk Driving

(BLUEWATER, ON) On Sunday, November 20, 2011 just after 2:00 a.m. a Huron County OPP officer was dispatched to patrol for a possible impaired driver. A concerned citizen observed the suspect vehicle strike the shoulder of the road on multiple occasions. A Huron County OPP officer was able to locate the suspect vehicle travelling northbound on Parr Line in Bluewater, ON. Upon speaking to the male driver the officer observed him to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Huron detachment to meet with a qualified Intoxilizer Technician in order to provide two samples of his breath.

The results of the two tests confirmed the driver had a blood alcohol level that was above the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Irvin JOHNSON (52) of Denfield, ON has been charged with one count of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to section 253(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada and one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams contrary to section 253(1)(b) Criminal Code of Canada. JOHNSON will answer to the charges in the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on January 26, 2012. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days as per statute. LP11329005
