Driver Airlifted To Hospital – Road Closed Near Walton

(HURON EAST, ON) – Members from the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment along with investigators from the OPP West Region Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) Team remain on scene of a single motor vehicle crash that took place near Walton last night.

Shortly after 10:35 p.m. Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and Huron East Fire Department responded to the crash scene located on Hullett-McKillop Road between Roxboro Line and North Line.

Upon arrival emergency service providers located a heavily damaged pickup truck that had collided with a tree in the south ditch. The lone occupant, a male driver, was transported from the scene to a local hospital by land ambulance whereupon he was then airlifted to hospital in London.

His injuries are considered life-threatening.

Hullett-McKillop Road between Roxboro Line & North Line will be closed for the next several hours for the collision investigation.
