Multiple Drinking Drivers Charged

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On March 10, 2012 at approximately 8:40 p.m. a Huron County OPP officer stopped a Chevrolet pickup travelling eastbound on Hullett-McKillop Road. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A 7 day driver’s licence suspension was served on the 62 year old driver following a warn reading at the roadside. A ticket for having open alcohol in the vehicle was also issued. A 7 day suspension was issued because it was the driver’s second violation exceeding 50 milligrams of alcohol. LP12063423

(HURON EAST, ON) – On March 11, 2012 just after 3:00 a.m. a Huron County OPP officer stopped a Chevrolet Cobalt on Hullett-McKillop Road. While speaking with the driver the officer determined the driver had been consuming alcohol. A 3 day driver’s licence suspension was served on the 21 year old driver following a warn reading at the roadside. A ticket was also issued to the driver for “Young Driver above zero BAC” (Blood Alcohol Content). LP12063700

(BLUEWATER, ON) – On March 3, 2012 just before 3:00 a.m. Huron County OPP officers stopped a Lincoln that was on Airport Line near Hensall. While speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A 3 day driver’s licence suspension was served on the 21 year old driver following a warn reading at the roadside. The driver was also charged with having an expired validation sticker.
